Novotel Chateau De Versailles

This hotel is located minutes from the Palace of Versailles. It is clean and modern with a very friendly and helpful staff. Emmanuel is a front desk clerk who is great! So friendly and helpful, plus he speaks 4 languages!!! They have a well stocked breakfast buffet with lots of options, including gluten-free options. This location also features a restaurant and bar.

How funny, I thought the hotel was walking distance from versailles Palace, but I read reviews from previous guests that said it was too far. It was 20 minutes walk for me, walking very slowly. You can uber for 5 min drive. I thought the rooms were a decent size and very comfortable. There was several small amenities that were offered by the hotel upon request, only thing negative is that I did not like was the morning buffet. I recomend you skip it. It was very ordinary and underwhelming. I have ate at other hotels and enjoy the food much better, so I know a continental buffet breakfast can be done well.

This hotel is clean and nice. The rooms are great and in good condition. The one concern I have. They avoid using any plastic in the hotel and therefore have a communal water fountain in the lobby. You are supposed to fill up a bottle and bring it with you to your room. After looking at some of the open top bottles they are obviously not that sanitary. Some of them still wet and weird spots inside the bottle. I just found this to be an extremely disturbing process that is completely unnecessary. Might just be me but I’m more disgusted by this than a roach or two.
