The hotel's location is excellent, but unfortunately, the interior conditions need significant improvement. There is a strong moisture odor throughout the property, and the rooms have an unpleasant smell. Additionally, the reception service is poor, and it's very difficult to reach anyone by phone. I strongly recommend addressing the odor issue, as the bad smell is noticeable across all areas of the hotel, particularly in the corridors and guest rooms. For around 200 AED, you could easily install aroma diffusers or air purifiers that would greatly improve the guest experience.

I booked a room at Novotel for my parents to celebrate their 30th anniversary, and I made sure to add a special request in advance — asking for a room with a great sea view and a small celebration setup. Two days before the check-in, I received a confirmation email from the hotel, assuring me that my request was received and that the room would be prepared, including a cake for the occasion. Unfortunately, upon my parents’ arrival, none of this was done. I called the hotel four times, and each time they apologized, saying the request was not in their system — which is confusing, since they were the ones who confirmed it by email. They told me it was now too late to arrange any decoration since my parents had already checked in, but promised the cake would be delivered to the room immediately. After more than four hours and four phone calls, a single slice of cake was finally delivered. No decoration, no real effort, and certainly not the thoughtful surprise I had planned. It was not just disappointing — it was embarrassing. I had told my parents about the surprise ahead of time, only for them to be let down not once, but twice. For a hotel of this level, I expected much better communication and attention to detail, especially when celebrating a milestone occasion. Sadly, this experience left me deeply disappointed.

Very disappointing stay and absolutely not worth the value Executive room. Bed is very hard, and pillows barely usable to sleep as they are so uncomfortable. Kettle and iron both can't be used as there are too dirty. So much dust around curtains and windows. Our window could not close properly and we could hear the cars on the main road. Carpets, seat, couches in room looks very dirty. No bathrubs/slippers provided, maybe on request. The good aspects were the bathroom and view from the room. No water provided, we had to ask the reception. Pool area is nice. Changing rooms, hallways and fitness are not inviting. Service overall was average at best. Breakfast was the most disappointing of all our stays in similar branded hotels. Selection was poor and low quality. Service from some staff at breakfast was unfriendly. Overall the property is not well maintained for the price it charges. Accor gold member. As an alternative, Double Tree Hilton next door is day and night. Property on another level compared with Novotel/Adagio. Service was professional. Food selection was great. I don't get it how Accor charges pretty similar rates than DoubleTree with such a huge difference in standards. Highly recommend staying at the DoubleTree for a small extra instead of Novotel/Adagio.
