Novotel Lombok Resort and Villas

The staff was amazing. We stayed with our daughter (7 months old) for 6 nights. And almost everybody new her name straight from the second day. Not because of professionalism but by heart. This made our stay incredibly beautiful. We really enjoyed the breakfast. Wide variety. The villa with the pool was very nice and we enjoyed the first class service. What needs to be mentioned is that the hotel is not the youngest anymore. As well the humidity is recognizable in the room. But everything is well maintained. We would love to come back.

I was surprised by how small it was. While it was nice that there weren't many people, there wasn't much to enjoy within the resort. The biggest reason I can't recommend it is because the noise from the car and motorcycle racetrack can be heard from 6 a.m., right next door. While it's understandable during the day, the noise early in the morning is unbearable. If the hotel is willing, they should cooperate with the racetrack. The ocean in front of the resort was spectacular.

It is an OK hotel. Nothing to shout about. Very, very tired property. Members of staff were very pleasant and hardworking. They went the extra mile. It was the first time for us to stay in a two-bedroom villa with only one bathroom. Basically, it was a big hut that had a door in the middle to create a second bedroom. We were greeted by a rather unkempt poolside area. No mowing of the grass nor trimming of the grass around the trees. We actually requested for them to sort that out and they actually apologised for not having done that before we checked in which was cute. Plastic detritus on the lawn too. Sand under the very old furniture which had handles replaced because they were clearly broken. The restaurant at the hotel is convenient but we made sure that we ate out at every opportunity.
