We really enjoyed everything. We came for one night and were upgraded to a suite on the 35th floor. Stunning view. Nice and large room. The bed is very comfortable. The rooftop bar is amazing with a stunning view and excellent cocktails. The breakfast is excellent. The pool is nice. It's a shame that the sauna didn't work. We really enjoyed it and we're sure we'll come back again.
We chose this hotel because of its convenient location and spacious rooms, and those aspects were great. The room was clean and comfortable, and we appreciated the extra space. Unfortunately, our check-in experience left a bad first impression. When we dropped off our luggage in the morning, the staff member at the front desk was not very friendly. Later, during check-in, we were helped by Marina, whose attitude felt cold and unwelcoming. When we asked a question about our booking, she rolled her eyes and responded in a dismissive tone. She also spoke unprofessionally to her colleague in front of us, which made the interaction even more uncomfortable. Aside from that, we did enjoy the room itself. One issue we had was with the overhead shower, which was broken and leaked water outside the shower barrier, getting some of our things wet. Once we switched to the handheld shower, it was fine. Housekeeping also knocked on our door before 9 a.m., which felt too early. We asked them to come back later, but the room was never cleaned that day. Luckily, the front desk was able to send up fresh towels when we asked, and we appreciated how quickly they handled that. Overall, it’s a decent place to stay if you’re looking for a good location and comfortable rooms, but the staff interactions could be improved to make guests feel more welcome.
We had a great comfortable stay. Unfortunately we booked a twin room and were allocated a double on arrival, so had to sort that out at the reception desk however it was quickly sorted for us. Price was very reasonable for London compared to other cheap hotels which were actually more expensive. Great location if you are visiting the 02 and we enjoyed the bars and restaurants at Canary Wharf. The room was a good size. Rooftop terrace bar was great in the sunshine. London prices as expected. Use of the pool and sauna was a great addition. More seating or sunbeds would of been beneficial as we had to share one between the two of us - but great to have a swim on such a warm weekend. I did notice the paint was peeling off the ceiling of the pool though so a bit of tlc wouldn't go amiss. Overall I'd definitely return.
