Novotel Mechelen Centrum

We stayed in this hotel during our visit to Mechelen. The hotel is conveniently located in the center of the city. It looks new and modern. There was a breakfast room, restaurant and bar. The breakfast buffet was good quality and included all the basics for a good breakfast. The room was mostly clean and comfortable with small dirty places in the badkamer. The room design includes an apart toilet which could be useful but it did not include a water basin to wash your hands. It has an apart small douche and bad. I am curious to hear what is the logic behind this design. I guess the bad is hardly ever used and it was not necessary. The apart toilet without a tap and water basin is not handy. Not hygienic. The personnel was friendly and helpful. All in all a good hotel but I would not recommend it for people with mobility problems or special needs.

We really enjoyed our stay in this hotel. Rooms are clean and new. Nothing fancy but just fine. We also liked the beds. The location of the hotel makes it outstanding for a weekend away in Mechelen.

The location of this hotel is excellent. The room was spacious, tastefully decorated, and very clean. I especially appreciated the bathroom, which featured a shower and a bathtub. However, the mattress was unfortunately quite uncomfortable—it sagged noticeably in the middle and appeared to be well past its prime. A restful night's sleep is essential, and without it, even the many positives of the stay lose some of their appeal.
