Novotel Melbourne Airport

Just wanted to say a huge thank you to hotel accommodation staff who went above and beyond to make a room available for us at about 11pm after having a very stressful afternoon having our 6.30pm Jetstar delayed and canceled. My brother and I very grateful to all your staff who turned our unpleasant afternoon into a restful and comfortable night. The rooms were very clean spacious. Beds were very comfortable. Highly recommend the Novotel.

This is the first time I have stayed with Novotel at Melbourne Airport and will definitely stay here again when travelling back down on business. The hotel was a brief walk from the domestic terminal and I was politely welcomed by a passing team member immediately upon entry. Something so small, these days makes a very positive first impression. I used the automatic check-in computer which was ever so simple and my room card was printed out instantly. Off to my room we go! Upon opening my room, up on the 9th floor, I was very pleasantly surprised at how impeccably clean the entire room was. From the living area through to the bathroom, everything was absolutely spotless. I worked remotely until late and had a really good nights sleep. The bed was very comfortable and the pillows.....oh so soft! Breakfast the following morning, multiple options to cater for absolutely everyone and all options available were very freshly made and cooked perfectly. Again, I would definitely be back to stay at this Novotel anytime I fly down! Please commend you staff from the cleaners, front desk and restaurant on my behalf. If you didn't have an obvious great group of hard working and passionate team members, I may not have been able to have left such a great review.

All style but no substance or service. Worst service I have ever encountered in an Accor hotel. The shuttle to snd from the airport is actually a people carrier. We rung for pick up and the driver did not stop for us. He saw us and just kept driving. From ringing for the shuttle to arrival at the hotel was 1 hour. In the hotel the check in with Amandeep , the manager in charge at the time was dreadful. She did not acknowledge my Accor plus until I reminded her. She called me ‘dear’ I asked her not to as I find it disrespectful but she continued to do so. She also raised her voice to shout at me so much so that my husband who was nowhere near the check in could hear her. He described her as very rude. When we went to have dinner we found that one restaurant was closed for the night. Amandeep had neglected to advise of this. So there was no option for food at all as the one restaurant was packed and no room service, so also no option to use the Accor plus benefits. The man on reception when I asked about food just laughed and said go to the airport terminal 4. The room itself was modern. Average size. The bathroom has no lock and isn’t at all private as the glass window shows the reflection of the person on the shower. We booked for three but room only set up for 2 so we couldn’t even all have a coffee. The shower room is very draft and smelled once the water started to go down the drain. Overall a terrible experience- no dinner, no coffee and an hour to get the shuttle. We have cancelled future bookings. I would not recommend this hotel. The holiday inn is much better on all levels so book there for a great experience.
