Novotel Phu Quoc Resort

A lovely hotel clean and stylish and great service and facilities - beautiful pools and on the beach. Only downside I’d say is there’s no bar on the beach but there is a lovely swim up bar at the pool which is very near. A small night market and lots of restaurants just across the street. Worth walking along the beach to find other places too. A tiny gripe which hope they can address easily is lighting in the rooms which was pretty bad for hair make up etc but I find many hotel are. All in all though would definitely recommend

Doesn't feel like a 5 star resort. Novotel is missing that luxurious feeling when you stay in a 5 star resort or hotel. Our room didn't have wifi signal and even though I complained, the staff didn't seem to fix it till we left. Breakfast is great. One of the best we've had in vietnam. Good location, right opposite the night market where you can find lots of food options. Great pool.

The resorts focus seems to be only on big tour groups. We stayed in a beach front bungalow and while it had the potential to be picture perfect, it wasn’t. Windows were so dirty, could hardly enjoy the view. Mold all through the shower, curtains ripped and gardens over grown. Not to mention the dead bug that stayed with us for the four nights (so rooms were not cleaned well) and had to call everyday for our towels and water. Customer service was on and off. The crew in the restaurant were always warm and welcoming, reception and main bar, not so much. Very little shade at the pools made it feel like a place you could not settle into. Overall, from my perspective this Novotel has a particular focus on large group bookings and those choosing to travel with family or friends etc, maybe consider somewhere else.
