Novotel Rio de Janeiro Leme

Different type of room based on our budget. My company was booking room so I can not complain. Room tidy and clean. helpful staff and nice breakfast. They have a gym with nearly no equipment there! However you are just beside the beach and better to exercise there! Location is great. View from their top roof restaurant also is great.

Great breakfast. Rooms are comfy ( could be a bit larger) but great for a short stay. Staff is very friendly, hotel is close to beach in a quiet area. Elevators a bit of a hassle, need your key to move in elevator and can become frustrating for a family of four. Rooftop pool and bar are great!

Stayed here for 1 month with work, cleaning staff and condition of room was great. The shower was frustrating at times as it was either boiling hot or bordering cold. My main frustration was the minibar bill I had been overcharged, luckily I noticed and got some of it refunded. The hotel locked myself out my room for not settling my minibar bill about 3 weeks in (Planned to settle this at end of my 4 week stay / they hadn't even asked me before locking me out to settle this bill) which I found rather unprofessional. If they had just asked myself to pay the bill there wouldn't have been any problem / any reason to lock me out.
