Novotel Saint Quentin en Yvelines

Always a great stay! Staff are really great (makes a difference you know). Travelling for business I enjoy that how relaxed I am at this hotel

Nice hotel at a lovely golf course location. Rooms were basic for a 4 star hotel and there is no after hours service for food or drinks. They don't even have vending machines which is a big negative.

Food: I went for dinner, looking forward to a superior meal as my previous nights in this trip had been in Ibis hotels. Their food was OK but this should have been a step up in class. I ordered the teriyaki beef with fried rice. The rice was so terrible, initially I thought it was mashed potato. On complaining I explained to the waitress why I couldn't eat it and could I have the same dish but with fresh rice. It came back with french fries as a replacement. rather than complain again, i ate the meal but very disappointing. The hotel is a little shabby, but that happens everywhere, however the advertised gym was poorly equipped with no with training machines or free weights at all. The coffee machine in the lobby was broken, on asking how to get coffee, I was told to use the canteen which only sold a full breakfast. Frustrated, I just got a coffee and left the restaurant, at least I got a free coffee... Overall, for someone who mainly uses Marriott, I still have silver with Accor, but I wont be back if there are any alternative options.
