Novotel Salvador Rio Vermelho

Diamond member, room upgraded! Large modern rooms with excellent views of the ocean/beach. All the staff were friendly, albeit no English spoken we used google translate without a problem. Excellent breakfast range / choices, amongst the best I’ve had at a Novotel. I’m not sure how the Mercure rates more highly than the Novotel. I stayed at both and would stay here again next time… Only thing to note, is be prepared for the slowest lifts imaginable, and there are only two so it can be a wait for them.

We stayed for 5 days in March 2025 at the Novotel Rio Vermelho property in Salvador, Bahia, Brasil. The quality of service and attentiveness was uniformly excellent and a credit to the organisation. In the restaurant I would single out Robert, Fabrice and the Chef , Adriano. The quality and taste of what was served there would not be out of place in the country and world's best restaurants. Very well done to the whole team!We will strongly recommend to our friends and colleagues if they visit Salvador, Bahia, Brasil.

Nice sized room, great views, but extremely stark! The only furniture is the room was a small table and only one uncomfortable chair! No deck furniture, old, squeaky bed, a heap sheets, no blanket, no complimentary water in room (R$15 from mini bar), nice coffee machine, but only came with coffee for one. 2 coffee had to be paid for! Ridiculous! Advertised parking, but I was charged and extra R$40!
