Novotel Spa Rennes Centre Gare

First time staying there, it was a great experience. Hotel is nice, spa is little but enjoyable nonetheless. Staff is friendly and helpful. Room was comfy and clean. Lots if good restaurants and stores nearby. Really enjoyed my experience there.

A clean, well air conditioned, comfortable room quite near the train station. The breakfast buffet had lots of options and was plentiful. Granted, this is a chain hotel, but after a long day of traveling in the heat, the creature comforts and kind service were much appreciated.

Location: 4/5 The location is quite convenient, making it easy to explore nearby attractions if you are ready to walk ten to fifteen minutes. Service: 1-3/5 Service quality varied significantly. The welcome desk staff were friendly but could benefit from being more proactive. Unfortunately, the bar staff were absent when we were there, and many tables were left dirty. Additionally, there were seemingly outdated Orangina bottles on the back counter of the bar, which created a somewhat unkempt impression. Room: 2/5 The room was spacious and the beds comfortable. However, the climate control was challenging to manage, with the lower floor being too cold and the upper floor uncomfortably warm and too warm to sleep well. The shower door also had issues, as it did not close properly and was difficult to open. On a positive note, the cleaning service was efficient and thorough. Breakfast: 3/5 Breakfast was functional but lacking in finesse, particularly concerning the coffee, which could use improvement. Pool: 3/5 The pool area was nice and well-maintained, but several features were out of order. It also became quite crowded quickly, which detracted from the overall experience.
