We had a very pleasant stay for two nights. The staff were friendly and accommodating. The rooms are modern and sized generously. Unfortunately the walls were thin making it easy to hear noise in neighboring rooms and the hallway. Also, parking was limited and we ended up having to park down the road for $8/day.
My review for this hotel is neutral, not happy nor upset. The prices are good and the staff are friendly. Also it is clean. However, this hotel is rated 4-stars but diffenately it is not. It should be rated 3-stars. I did not try the food so I have no idea. The location is OK. The parking lot is too small (it was hard to get in and out) and slightly expensive (I paid €60 for 4 days) . Regarding the room, The size is OK and it has A/C as well, but the remote control battery was dead and we had to wait to the next day to get new battery. In addition, the A/C was making a noise every 10 or 15 minutes and when I report this to the hotel reception they told me that they can't do anything about it! The fridge was not cool enough!
We booked online from the Novum Hotel website, and arrived to have no reservation at the front desk. We had in our posession the confirmation email for staying there 1 night, and returning 2 nights at the end of our travels. I don't fault the local hotel for messing up the reservation, as it was made using the corporate website. However the Hotel Clerk that "greeted" us, seemed unwilling to make calls. Evaluate our receipts, to confirm our reservations, that included Confirmation numbers. We spent nearly 2 hours, until we reached an agreement to get a room, allowing them time to research the problem over night. The next morning, there was still no resolution, and we spent another 30 minutes checking out.. still no confirmation about our return 2 day stay... I they hadn't already charged our account for the stay, we would have likely stayed elsewhere. The good news, is that on our return for the 2nd part of our stay different staff took interest in the issue, and had it resolved. We rented a studio/apartment that was a block away from the hotel, they were very nice, clean and spacious. 5 stars for the accommodations, 1 star for customer service upon our initial arrival to the hotel.
