This room was very comfortable, with a fantastic location that offered easy access to S-Bahn stations, as well as convenient airport connections from Alexanderplatz. There are many great places nearby for food, breakfast, and shopping. Additionally, a small market for groceries was just around the corner. The room itself was clean, new, and nicely designed. The only minor issue was that the bed squeaked when turning over. However, there was complimentary coffee, tea, and water in the room, along with a refrigerator, which was a thoughtful touch.
This place really is in a wonderful location. But for me, the problem was the AC. There is no AC in the building. They have a little fan but it is not enough to keep the room cool. I was here three nights during a time of year (early August) when the humidity in Berlin is high and my room was so muggy and humid. It made me regret choosing this hotel, which is not really a hotel, but more like a hybrid AirBnb / hotel / community. The only customer service is through an app, you speak to a Bot then they text you back like an hour later. This place is a little too tricky in its moderness.
Interesting concept, but in my case it didn’t fully meet expectations I stayed at a NUMA apartment during a business trip. The digital-first concept is modern and convenient in theory: no front desk, access via code, and all communication handled through a chat system. In general, this worked smoothly, but when issues arose, I personally found the support structure limited. Upon arrival, the refrigerator in my room wasn’t working. I had purchased fresh groceries, which unfortunately spoiled overnight. Communication took place via chatbot. While it was possible to request a transfer to a real person, the response was delayed. I was asked to reconfirm the issue because the service provider hadn’t yet responded. Unfortunately, the issue wasn’t resolved during my stay. The breakfast that was included consisted of a small muesli cup with a piece of fruit and a juice. For me, this was not substantial enough to start the day. The kitchenette was clean but very minimal in terms of equipment. There was no oven or toaster, and only a few basic utensils were provided. It was suitable for light snacks but not ideal for proper meal preparation. On the positive side, the location was excellent — central, with easy access to public transport, restaurants, and shops. The building felt safe, and the digital access worked reliably. Although there was no on-site staff, I still felt secure throughout my stay. Overall, my experience was mixed. The apartment was modern and well located, but in my case, the lack of responsive support and limited amenities made the stay less comfortable than expected. Guests who are comfortable with a fully digital setup may find it suitable, but I personally would have appreciated more responsive service during the stay.
