Room nice and bed comfy. Location great. Downsides were that the aircon was terrible, we set it to the lowest 18deg due to very hot weather but it was only blowing out warm air. The kettle was plugged into something in the back of the table but wire was faulty so the table had to be lifted to a specific height for it to work. Fridge also was faulty and warm and the carpet hadn’t been cleaned properly with stains. Check in with code and no keycard was easy and convenient and this was the most cost effective place we found at short notice. If you’re just looking for a place to put your head down this is great, but if you value the amenities it could do with improvements.

Absolutely avoid — worst hotel experience in Brussels If I could give this zero stars, I would. Numa Lief is not a hotel — it’s a glorified self-check-in scam with absolutely no hospitality infrastructure in place. There is no room service, no reception, and not a single employee on the property at any point. You’re entirely at the mercy of a glitchy, unresponsive app that offers no real help. The rooms are dirty and neglected — the carpet is full of old stains, hair, and grime, and looks like it hasn’t been vacuumed in months. There is no daily housekeeping, no water bottles, and the AC doesn’t work. The bathroom and toilet are in separate, awkward compartments — poorly planned and far from clean. It feels like staying in an abandoned corporate dorm that’s pretending to be a boutique hotel. For €150 a night, this is shockingly bad value. Despite multiple complaints through the app, nothing has been resolved — no refund, no cancellation, no basic fixes. Do yourself a favor: do not stay here. This is not a hotel experience. It’s a tech-driven ghost property with zero accountability and even less service.

I wouldn't classify this as a hotel. More like serviced apartment style rooms. The lack of a reception. Lack of anyone from the management and they only freshen up your room once a week. The main issue I had was with the key code. The check-in needs to be done before you arrive. Make sure you have your code before. Otherwise you will be outside, stuck like me in the middle of the night. They say they sent me emails regarding the check-in process that I never received so I was caught off guard. On my second day in, the keypad outside my room stopped working. As I was now accustomed to, I contacted support who informed me that the battery in the box had died and needed to be changed (which never happened till I checked out), so till then, they would open up the door for me remotely. Which was very nerve-racking. One evening, I got home later and I was waiting for their WhatsApp support to respond for 6 minutes (because of multiple requests) before managing to contact them via phone to get them to open my door. It didn't make me feel safe at all. Multiple scenarios started playing on my mind: what if my phone battery died and I was stuck outside? If someone can open my door from somewhere else? What if it was hacked? Can someone open the door when I'm asleep? The positives? The room was clean and comfortable and located close to the centre and Brussels midi. But honestly, my room window overlooked a wall and the room was functional but devoid of any personality. I'm sure the are much better options in this price range. Even if there aren't, I would pay a lot more and stay anywhere else but here.
