We stayed at Number 10 Hotel in Glasgow for a short layover while a family member was undergoing surgery at the New Victoria Hospital. The hotel was easy to reach by train, and getting into town was simple with Uber. The staff were exceptionally kind and welcoming—ensuring our rooms were together and taking extra care to support my family member with poor eyesight. They went above and beyond, including storing my father’s medication in the fridge overnight. The rooms were perfect—clean, comfortable, and well-equipped—and the hotel offered everything we needed to sleep, eat, and relax in one place. A great location for anyone needing to be near the hospital, with a truly caring and thoughtful team. Highly recommended.

Room: The room was compact but nicely arranged, with sweet treats and tea/coffee provided. It was clean, though for the price, I expected a bit more space. Shower: The shower was quite old but functioned well. Ironing Facilities: The mini ironing board was broken, but when I reported it, the staff promptly provided a full-size board, which was appreciated. Food: Breakfast was not included in the room price. While the breakfast itself was lovely, the cost felt a bit high for a standard full breakfast. Staff: The staff were very helpful and friendly. Sleep Quality: Unfortunately, we didn’t sleep well during our two-night stay due to functions running until midnight.

We had a family meal 5 adults and 2 children to celebrate a Golden Wedding Anniversary. The toilets were good, usual loud music and bar-like seating. Staff friendly and polite. Service for food very very slow. Food was of expected good quality except for the only vegan option: a sweet potato, chickpea and spinach curry. We had two of these and they looked like different meals. Neither had any sweet potato, one had chickpeas and regular potatoes, the other had no chickpeas and a few bits of carrots. We spoke to them and they said it is made in one pot so maybe not stirred properly. I explained that it was the key ingredients and we had chosen this restaurant over another venue where the only vegan option was a regular potato and chickpea curry. They offered to take them back and gave us complimentary drink. The remade dish came back with again no sweet potato but with some regular potato and carrots and lots of mixed beans.Sauce was nice enough but very unsatisfied especially as we had booked well in advance and given note that there was one vegan. To make things worse they had two vegan dessert options: assortment of ice cream and chocolate fudge pudding with vanilla ice cream. I was then told they had no dairy free ice cream at all! Very disappointed. I would consider coming back if they increased to at least two vegan options that actually lived up to their description.
