Number 38 Clifton

This hotel was the last hotel of our stay in the UK and I’m so glad. It was impressive. From the moment we entered and took in the beautiful furnishings, fragrance, and warm welcome, we were happy. As we’d arrived early, we were offered bag storage and then transfer to the room when it was ready, as well as a permit to park on the street. We’d been upgraded to Room 2 on the top floor (should have accepted their offer to deliver the bags! No lift, steep stairs and heavy bags. Our problem!). The room was amazing - very big, with one of the most comfortable beds I have ever slept in. Immediate ‘ahhh’ feeling. The furnishings were so lovely. The view was exceptional. The bath was truly wonderful. The shower pressure was great. The complimentary macaroons were very tasty. Breakfast was freshly cooked and restaurant quality. Flavour was all there! There was a fan above the bed (thank you) and we had a lovely breeze with both windows open. It was so quiet at night! Honestly, this place is amazing. The location is also wonderful - walking distance to the suspension bridge and a short wander to a number of pubs and eateries.

This was a glorious find in Clifton Village. Small, stylish, elegant, personal and charming. Not in the hussle of the village but overlooking greenery. Charming, sharp decor, amazing beds and linen and room.soaps, shampoo etc. One of the best hotel breakfasts I have ever had and delivered to the door on time. This is all the reasons why small is beautiful in boutique stays.

This is a fantastic, beatifully designed hotel. We had a very spacious room (no12) with views over the park on one side and the city on the other. Bed and bath both really comfortable, great breakfast and super helpful staff. I left something quite valuable behind when we left and they have found it and are sending it on to me. I highly recommend this hotel and would defintely stay there again.
