Nyala Suite Hotel Sanremo

This is not the first time we have stayed here. When travelling it is located quite near the motorway to make it really convenient although the roads to and from the hotel are small and a little awkward for a larger vehicle. The hotel and staff make the roads worthwhile though. Everyone is very friendly and helpful and the restaurant is wonderful. The rooms are large, comfortable and clean as are the bathrooms. We will be returning again shortly and would definitely recommend.

Very decent and polite welcome at reception. My arrival was around 12 noon. Immediately my room was put in order. 25 minutes later, the room was ready. This was very considerate as checkin is normally only from 3pm. The room was with a large balcony overlooking the ocean. Dinner at the restaurant was a three-course choice menu for 35 euros. It was very tasty. The location is in a residential area. To reach the city centre of San Remo, you need a car. San Remo is one hour by car from Cote D'azur (Nice, Monaco).

Definitely not a 4* Hotel. The rooms aren't as nice as the pictures. The view is beautiful however. The reception staff was kind, however the cleaning staff and waiters at breakfast are extremely impolite and never smile. We even had a cleaning lady ask us to leave our room so she can clean it. The room was dirty, we even found an empty plastic bottle next to the desk from previous visitors. The restaurant feels like a highway truckstop, and is not big enough to accommodate the guests. And when we ordered room service, it arrived cold. All in all, it's an okay hotel, but very far from deserving it's 4 stars, and definitely not worth the price. Don't recommend.
