We travel a great deal and stay in some beautiful hotels all over the world. But I cannot give enough praise to this absolute 5 star gem. Stunning converted colonial hotel. I ma in interior designer and loved the Beautiful, highly stylish new interiors. Clean and hygienic rooms and bathrooms. Huge rooms and the largest comfortable beds. The service from staff and manager are beyond impeccable, professional and friendly. The food is 5 star quality. Fresh local ingredients with menu changing daily. We leave rested and renewed after being on safari in Kenya then travelling around Sri Lanka. Recommend Sunflower Crafts in Bentota for genuine handmade masks.

Absolutely stellar experience! The hospitality of the hotel is top notch and the staff are supremely attentive. Highlights of our stay included: delicious meals (Michelin worthy), complimentary tea seating, popsicle at check in and during the day, yoga mat, beach attendant, multiple turn downs, tranquil pool and lighting at night. We wish we could have stayed longer and can’t wait to be back!

This was a wonderful tranquil haven, with a great personalised and friendly feeling, from the first greeting through to a ‘farewell’ which came much too soon! Special thanks to Thilina, who greeted us, and was so warm and friendly throughout our stay, and to the manager Lasantha, who was also so helpful (we are still on WhatsApp!) The wonderful gardens, beautiful pool, great food, short walk through the palms and umbrella-trees to the perfect and surprisingly quiet sandy beach… I could go on! And the surprise of the railway line along the coast just adds to the experience (and could not be heard from our room, so no worries there!) THOROUGHLY RECOMMENDED: We were only there for the first night of our holiday, but now, after a wonderful week along the south coast staying in three other locations, we only wish we had stayed longer at Nyne Hotels, and we hope to return!
