Overall, a very nice hotel in a great location, however extremely overpriced. The room was clean, cozy, and comfortable. However, the breakfast experience was disappointing. The buffet was quite limited compared to other hotels I’ve stayed at in Europe, and the staff at the breakfast entrance were surprisingly rude. Despite having booked a room with breakfast included, my name was not on their list. It took them about 15 minutes to realize their list was outdated, and their attitude during the process was unprofessional.
Decent hotel, staff were friendly, and the room was clean, however it is a bit expensive for what you get. It's a little far away from some of the sights, but there's a tram stop close to the rear of the hotel. There's a self-serve shop on the ground floor which was handy. There was air-con and the beds were comfortable. It was self check-in, but the staff were helpful with this, checkout was quick. The breakfast was pretty standard. However, we were disappointed with the house keeping, we came back to the hotel at 4pm and the room hadn't been cleaned yet, this happened on 2 different days. The beds have a mattress topper that's not strapped down and kept sliding off the actual mattress, this caused my mum to fall off the bed on the last night! The bathroom has a glass door with gaps around the edges, so not much privacy. Overall it was a pleasant stay but not spectacular.
Do not stay here. The staff will treat you poorly. Housekeeping is not standard and is a free option when you first check in. So far, I’ve learned they do not come before 3pm, and also, by 5:30pm they leave. When my room wasn’t cleaned because I came back to my room for 20 minutes at 5:30pm, I called for towels to be brought up. The housekeeping staff SCREAMED at me. Telling me how not nice I am for calling for towels. Not just a little bit, they berated me until I closed the door. The ventilation cannot be controlled by the rooms controller. The AC comes on and off. The humidity is off the charts. But if I open the windows the mosquitoes swarm in. There’s no way to be comfortable. I would change hotels mid-stay if I could. Please do not make my same mistake.
