Oakey Motor Inn

Arrived late but organised before we got there over phone. Steve was fantastic! Key left in room with receipt. Wonderfully organised. This was our last stop after travelling in Queensland for two weeks. Room was simply fabulous. Super clean, well appointed and a fabulous night. I don't generally do reviews but the Oakey Motor Inn had to receive a 5 Star as was simply the best of our trip!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5/5 – Absolutely Outstanding Stay! I had to come through for work and absolutely loved my stay at the Oakey Motor Inn. The rooms were immaculately clean, everything looked new, fresh, and very well maintained. You can tell the owners take great pride in the place. One of the standout features was their breakfast menu—delivered right to your door at whatever time suits you, with a generous window of availability. Steve makes incredible poached eggs! Such a rare and thoughtful touch! We arrived quite late, but when we called Steve, he was more than happy to help us with a smooth after-hours check-in. Exceptionally accommodating and genuinely kind hosts. It’s located close to the work site we were visiting, and honestly, we preferred staying in Oakey over Toowoomba. The town itself is charming, and everyone we met was incredibly sweet and welcoming. When I went to check out and pay the bill, I ended up staying for another hour and a half—just having a drink and chatting at the bar with Steve and his mate Wormy. You don’t get that kind of warmth and hospitality everywhere. Just genuine, warm, kind humans. If you’re considering where to stay near Toowoomba or passing through the area—do yourself a favour and book here. I’ll definitely be back, even without work in the area!

Great place to stay. Clean sheets, comfortable beds, quiet off street location. Clean showers/ bathroom. Only minus was the car park lights shining bright till late at night (eventually do go off. The lights could be off set by longer and higher curtains to block out)
