Oaks Cairns Hotel

Lovely staff, Paul was great. Really enjoyed my stay. Room was exceptional, comfortable bed. Clean, new, couldn't fault it. The shower head was massive, so lux. Very central location, would definitely stay again. They were happy to store my bags for the day as well.

Had a wonderful experience. Not sure what happened to the people with the small room. Odd because my room was spacious and not even a suite. Had a view of the esplanade but unfortunately lost everything except part of the Ferris wheel was obstructed. Room decor was nice and it was clean. They had extra blankets and that was good because we had a cold front. Being on the esplanade was ideal. Close to everything including the pier where the snorkeling / diving boats take off. Close to all the great restaurants, markets, Ferris wheel, etc. View of the rooftop was ok. It’s those trees again. Sometimes too cold for breakfast but I took mine back to my room. I do recommend getting with breakfast. Open until 10:39 am! And tasty, choice of main and drink. Some sides were extra and I thought the bacon should have been included. Service was great. Very happy I stayed here!!

After many hours of research in order to have the best experience possible after returning 46 years after our honeymoon, was disappointed and unimpressed with the room allocated. The staff were super friendly but the room was sooooo small we couldn't open our suitcase without tripping over it. The "view" was of a fire escape and back alley. On a positive note the staff were super friendly and helpful, the bathroom had high end fixtures and the rooftop restaurant has good views. We ended up booking into another hotel so we could have some space to sort our cases and be able to have some space and comfort. Just as well we left our cat at home!
