Oakwood Marina Del Rey

I had a great stay, rooms were new and comfortable- and not a far walk to Venice beach and lots of restaurants. I would ask that rooms facing the road have a white noise machine- since the continuously running fan in the room isn’t loud enough to drown out road noise at some points.

Loved this hotel. The check in process was so nice. I love that this property is fully staffed. The breakfast was really good and I enjoyed the separate dining area for breakfast. The views of the marina are amazing!!! The rooms are nice and super clean! The gym is small but has a STAIR MASTER which is rare at smaller hotels! The neighborhood is great for walking and pet friendly.

There is so much to love about this hotel. The location is blocks away from the beach and in the Marina. The lobby is beautiful and filled with energy. Lots of space to work while you have a coffee. Pool decent and great workout room. Staff were friendly. Don't love the $20 daily fee but used it for snacks. The main issue that I didn't realize is that there are a number of rooms with literally a view of bushes - esp. those on the ground floor. You would have no idea where you were. Even the windows on the ground-floor room did not open. The room itself was fine. Felt new and extremely clean. But I was so disappointed. In fairness, the rate you pay does link to the view. So I write this more as a caution. Note how many reviews rave about the views. Now imagine staring at a bush. I did ask and they simply said there were no rooms other than what I got - even with no view but not ground floor and this was within 2 hours of allowable check-in. Also absolutely no recognition of status. So just be aware when booking. If you go for a view, the prices start getting very high. And don't think about using points: you have no option but to use points for the lowest level rooms. Would stay again if I could grab a great rate that offered even a partial view.
