Oakwood Mountain View

I stayed for 2 night. The room was clean and bigger than I expected. Excellent shower, probably one of the best showers I have had. Staff called me when I was on the way to inform me that check in desk does close after 9 pm which would be helpful for someone who may not know that and I appreciate the call. Check in was fast, easy, no hidden charges. Also laundry and parking present on site! Definitely would recommend for a long stay!

As many of your reviews have stated, the room was immaculately clean. The bed was very comfortable. The coffee pods were good quality and the TV had good reception and offered a nice selection of channels. I did have two issues of concern. One was that the shower, with a slippery glass sliding door, had no safety bars. This could easily be remedied. The other is, I think, a serious design flaw, and that is having the sink in the room as opposed to being part of the bathroom. I don’t know about you, but some things I do at a sink are not things I want to do in front of others. An example would be flossing my teeth. Perhaps an even bigger issue with the arrangement is that if one occupant is sleeping, having the light on for the sink/mirror area either keeps him/her up or wakes him/her. I imagine the idea was to allow one occupant to use the sink while another takes a shower/uses the toilet, but in actual use it created problems.

The room and hotel itself is nice, but a little small. it’s a shame the staff and service is horrible. They are in a rush to get you out. They have a $30 late fee if you check out later than 11:30, but the workers came knocking on our door at 10:20 and opened the door while we were still sleeping? Then I was in the shower and at around 11:00 they start knocking on the door again. I couldn’t answer and then I hear them start banging on the door super hard. Extremely rude. This is no way to run a hotel business banging on your customers doors early in the morning trying to get them out when the parking lot is literally empty and it’s not like there was anyone waiting to get into our room.
