I arrived late at Oakwood after a very long flight—my two cats were supposed to fly in-cabin with me but, in the rush, had to stay in their cages. They were exhausted and quite dirty when we finally arrived. From the moment we walked in, the Oakwood team went above and beyond: • Late check-in with a smile: Despite our delayed arrival, they greeted us warmly and got us settled in without a hitch. • Cage cleanup: They promptly cleaned and rid of our oversized cat cages, which was an immense relief after the journey. • Feline comforts: They treated my kitties to wet food, snacks, and fresh water—such a thoughtful touch that put my mind at ease. • Stress-free transition: I wasn’t able to move into my new apartment right away, and Oakwood felt like a true home base. Their kindness turned what could have been a stressful night into a genuinely pleasant experience. Thank you, Oakwood, for taking such wonderful care of both me and my furry travel companions. I couldn’t have asked for a better welcome to Bangkok!

Good rooms for the price. Location is good but a bit far from the BTS depending on your mobility. They have a shuttle service though. Have to say I was honestly very surprised with how bad the service was. I am not high maintenance at all and don’t require constant attention, but it really was on a different level at this hotel. Staff wouldn’t even greet me when I was coming or going, no one cared to help with anything at all. Not even an offer to help. Cut my stay short and left.

So here’s the thing. This hotel would have gotten a much higher rating if they fixed 2 things. The MOST important was the noise. Hotel guests running in the hallways late at night banging doors (no quiet close doors), dropping furniture and banging furniture around (no noise dampening felt on the bottom of chairs or rubber to stop doors inside room from banging hard) and the hotel staff didn’t seem to care about the horrible noise I had EVERY night for 18 days. The second is the kitchen. Now I am no Jamie Oliver or Gordon Ramsey but if I have to teach the kitchen how to make a chocolate milkshake and explain it to them 3 times and then they give me milk with chocolate powder and ice in the end. There is a REAL problem here. The hotel is in Bangkok but the kitchen staff including head chef couldn’t speak Thai or English, the top 2 languages spoken in Bangkok. Other than those 2 terrible things, the hotel was clean, and modern, bed was comfortable and rooms had most amenities. The house keeping staff Mai that works on the 8th floor was the best housekeeping person I had ever met, she took care of me very well. I thank you Mai. 5 stars for her. The location could have been closer to the Main Street as it was about a 15 minute walk to Main Street where BTS is,
