Oakwood Suites Bangkok

We were quite satisfied with this hotel. The best part is its proximity to BTS and other shopping malls, making it fairly convenient even when carrying luggage to and from the hotel. The gym is better than what you’d typically find in most hotels. The room was spacious, with a large bathtub—something I really liked. The kitchen didn’t come with any cookware, but you can request it from the hotel, which I found quite convenient. There was a slight issue with the hot water—it takes a few minutes to heat up, but it’s not a major concern. The only drawback was the housekeeping, which was rather average. On two occasions, I noticed stains on the bedsheets. While it wasn’t a serious issue, it’s something worth mentioning. Despite this, I would still choose to stay here again. Also, housekeeping may not always check everything thoroughly, especially laundry detergent, so it's better to request it from the front desk. As for the staff, there wasn’t much interaction, as we were mostly in and out of the hotel. I’m not sure if the pricing was high or low, but I found it acceptable. The pillows suited me well—not too soft or too firm—and there were two options to choose from. Overall, if you're staying in Bangkok for a few days, this hotel is a good choice, and the transportation is very convenient.

I’ve always liked the Sukhumvit Soi 24 area. It’s near Phrom Pong BTS. Plenty to eat. My first stay at Oakwood. The room is big and clean. My only 3 complains will be the lousy coffee served at the breakfast buffet. For $18 they should give better coffee. My WiFi was turned off last night. I couldn’t connect for 24 hours. Lastly, the doors are a little thin, corridors hard floor. It’s noisy. Can hear the doors closing. Still serving shampoo and shower gel in small plastic bottles. Need to do better with sustainability!

Don't believe the reviews that sound too good to be true. It's not true that the room is not good. The bed is not soft, not comfortable. The blanket is a bit hard, not soft, like it was bought cheaply. The curtains are very sheer. I've never seen a hotel with such sheer curtains before. It's not worth the price paid. The room is not soundproof, I can hear the noise from the street, it's annoying, like sleeping on the side of the road. omg I feel sorry for the money I paid.
