Basic hotel in a great location. The best part of Playa del Carmens beach is right in front of the hotel, a few minutes from your room. The pool is horrible, nowhere to sit around and nothing to look at. The vacant lot between the hotel and the beach is unsightly, but who cares? The beach is right there. King bed was comfortable, bathroom was okay but no table in the room. If you come here to hang around the hotel you will be disappointed. However, if you're like us, you will quickly realize who cares.. It's clean, and it is convenient to 5th Ave and all that offers(alot). The airport bus station is literally a 2 min walk away, such a nice feature. Don't stay on the ground floor, as you'll have no view which would be a shame. We'd return as the location and beach are hard to beat

I stayed 2 nights here , will not come back here, 1 st day. WiFi doesn't work, 1 toilet paper for 4 persons Tv doesn't work properly 2 control s for the. Tv The balcony is less than 3 feet wide Will not come back to this hotel. Again

Zero stars. This is my fourth stay at the Casa Melissa and the worst by far. I didn't heed the tip on TripAdvisor about the neighbor's barking dogs. I went down at 1:00 a.m. and spoke to the night manager about the barking dogs next door. I had used ear plugs and a fan app to no avail. He followed me to the third floor and heard them barking himself. He was aware of the problem. I asked for a full refund and for my room to be moved. I filed a complaint with the civil police. We seniors cherish our sleep. I must change my plan due to this aggravation.
