My husband and I stayed in this hotel recently for three nights. The location is great and walking distance to the metro. The rooms are very clean. It was my husband’s birthday and the staff were so welcoming and went out of their way to make it special for us. The rooftop bar is superb and the breakfast has a great selection. We had a deluxe room with a beautiful view from our balcony. Would highly recommend this hotel when visiting Barcelona.
Stayed 4 nights at the Occidental Hotel during our Barcelona visit. This hotel’s location is ideal; You can easily walk to the main attractions Barcelona has to offer, metro stations are also nearby if you’re not a walker. We enjoyed the rooftop pool (~ 80cm to 1m deep) & lounging area the most, it’s perfect for an afternoon dip while you enjoy city views. Definitely would return.
It was a spur of the moment decision and not even my choice, although I was surprised to find a hotel terrace that allows walkings in June. The night views of Tibidabo at one end and the W on the other were magnificent. Service was descent, and prices are much more reasonable than the terrace restaurants on Passeig de Gracia. A must visit to catch the Barcelona sunset
