Surprisingly nice and quiet place. The pool and beach are within easy reach, sun loungers and parasols are provided, and a bar is available. Very convenient.

If you are looking for a beachfront hotel on a budget away from the hustle and bustle of resorts full of English tourists for some relaxation and sun bathing/ sea swimming and maybe take in some sights nearby with a hire car this place is ideal for you. But be under no illusions here. This place is 25 minutes away from the nearest international resort town by car. It is quiet and there are only a couple of local taverna's nearby within walking vicinity that are geared up more for Greek holiday makers than foreigners. The hotel only has 20 rooms on 2 floors but all rooms have sea views that look across to the Greek Island of Lefkada. The rooms aren't equipped with kettles, room safes or hair dryers but will be supplied on request. There is a nice walk in shower in the bathroom that does take a little while for the water to get hot but it does after a couple of minutes. Breakfast is a rather basic affair. Coffee, water and orange juice are the only drinks available. Good wise it's oats, youghurt, honey, bread to toast or Greek style crusty bread with butter and 2 very nice local preserves. There is sliced ham and cheese available and either apple pastries or cut up pieces of omelette and that's about it really. If you are ok with that you won't starve. If you want tea ensure you bring teabags with you as the nearest mini market is about a 15 minutes walk away up the hill to the top of the village. The hotel bar doesn't do daytime food so lunch and dinner will have to be either at the local tavernas or what ever pick up from the mini market in your room. Or further afield if you have a hire car. Also the bar doesn't stay open much beyond 8pm and there is no evening entertainment bar what you make of your own. The family that run the hotel are very nice people. Dmitri that runs the pool bar speaks the most English. Vasilliki the lady who owns the place and does breakfast speaks hardly any English at all so Google translate on your phone is essential to communicate. We made friends with her and got Greek Coffee with our breakfast with biscuits because we made time for her during our stay. The big pool is quite deep throughout with no shallow end as such but there is a smaller pool next to it a bit more shallow. Me and my partner thoroughly enjoyed our stay there and parted as friends with the family when we left the hotel to come home. It was ideal for us as a base for all the places we wanted to see with the hire car being a lot closer to everything and usually got back around 4pm for a few hours beach or pool time to cool down. A nice breeze comes in off the sea there when every where else we visited was stifling hot. Very welcome after a day of exploring. If the hotel upped its game by providing safes, hair dryers and kettles in all rooms as standard and offered a little more on the breakfast selection along with a lunch option at the hotel bar or the dining area where breakfast is taken this place could very easily upgrade itself to 4 stars due to it's beach location. Maybe slightly thicker mattresses on the beds. It is worth it's 3 star rating for it's size. Only a 30 minute non stop transfer from the airport with no intermediate stops before you get there a bonus. And last to be picked up on the return leg. We were the only guests in the place for about 4 days because although we arrived there on 2nd June the season doesn't really start there until around the 15th June. The only other foreign guests to turn up during our stay were either German or Danish. Any others are Greek. There is a fridge in the room so if you want a drink of an evening without having to use a local taverna/ beach bar pop a couple in the fridge. We asked for a safe in our room and by the evening Dmitri came with a brand new one and fitted it in for us. They will go the extra mile for you if asked politely. Same with the kettle and hair dryer. They even provided milk for us to put in our evening cuppa and my other half s nightcap lol. If you want a range of evening continental cuisine and bars this place may definitely not be for you.
