If I could leave a 10 star review for service I would! We were celebrating our daughter's birthday and booked an ocean view, her request. We had an issue with the room and the manager offered exemplary service that you often don't see anymore. The hotel is beautiful, you can't beat the location, the view, and the pool. We've been to Key West dozens of times and this by far was the best! 10 out of 10 highly recommend! We will definitely come back and thank you Craig for making her birthday so very special. She was so very happy, which in turn made us very happy. Much love!
I have had a great experience so far at Ocean Key Resort. No matter the situation, Craig has got your back. Mitchell provided the best concierge service I have experienced. These people go above and beyond for their guests. Mitchell helped us choose the best experience and assisted us in our travels making sure we have everything we need. This service is personalized if I’ve ever seen it. Wow moments all the way. Thank you Ocean Key Resort & Spa!
Decent stay for couples or solo travelers — not great for families Our stay: Our family of four (2 adults, 2 preteens) stayed here for three nights during a busy weekend and a couple of workdays. Pros: • Excellent location — really central to everything in Key West, easy to walk anywhere. • Updated rooms — the interior of our room was nicely renovated and comfortable. • Friendly staff — everyone we interacted with was kind and helpful. Cons: • Smoking allowed on balconies — unfortunately, the hotel allows smoking on balconies. Our room often smelled like cigarette smoke drifting in from other guests, which was unpleasant for our family. • Very noisy at night — the hotel faces one of the busiest spots in Key West, so loud music and partying tourists lingered past 11 pm. Combined with poor sound insulation, it made it hard to get a good night’s sleep. • Thin walls and ceilings — we could clearly hear “intimate moments” from the room above us, which was awkward with kids in the room. • Pool could be better maintained — the pool water didn’t feel well-filtered and could use more upkeep. Bottom line: If you’re traveling solo or as a couple and want to be in the middle of the action, this hotel’s location and modern rooms are great. But if you’re a family looking for quiet nights and non-smoking areas, you may want to look elsewhere.
