Recently stayed here and, here are my thoughts. Pros: the balcony and view of the ocean was the highlight of the place. Right on the beach and super easy access. Location of the resort is right on Atlantic blvd, a lot of fun stuff to do, places to shop and food is a very short drive or walk away. The kitchen was stocked with kitchen utensils and supplies to be able to cook almost anything you want. Self service laundry is FREE so long as you bring your own soap and dryer sheets. Parking was great. We also never heard our neighbors. Not in the rooms or the balcony. Cons: the entire building is very dated. Reception, hallways and rooms. A face lift would do wonders here. The worst part of everything was the bed. I’m not a difficult sleeper, I don’t need a big nice bed but that bed was the worst I’ve ever slept on. BRING A MATTRESS COVER. The room had a broom but no dust pan. It’s also a TimeShare so there is no maid service or laundry, though you can still exchange dirty linens for clean ones on your own. With it being a time share someone did call in hopes I would go to an open house meeting for a $100 visa gift card which I did not. We also had employees come to our room twice and repeatedly knock on our door until we answered bringing supplies that I did not order. That could have been an honest mistake of someone not knowing what room number they were but it was odd and I feel worth mentioning. Overall for the price I would recommend a stay here. I would just bring a stiffer mop and a mattress cover !
First let’s just state the obvious - having all oceanfront rooms is great! Now, the rest. If you are on any of the lower floors in a room X12 be prepared to feel like the music from the bar below is on your balcony. They literally setup below our balcony, 212, not even under the roof of the bar. It goes until 11, so if you’re a night owl it might not matter. The beach access is great, would be nice to have an outdoor shower on each end of the building. Parking on site is great. The rooms are very basic and dated. Our couch looked in worse shape than something you’d find at goodwill. And the kitchen was moderately stocked. Cleaning things could have more readily available like a vacuum for the carpet, or even a broom. Bathroom was a bit ick, but manageable. Lastly, all mattresses have a waterproof mattress pad on them, making it very noisy. (We rented 3 units) suppose a solid 2.5 starts but mostly for the location.
ADA Accommodation Request Ignored Prior to arrival, I requested a higher floor due to my twins’ autism and their sensitivity to noise. This request was acknowledged in writing. Instead, we were placed on the first floor near the lobby, which resulted in constant noise disturbance. When I raised the issue, I was told the hotel was at full occupancy, though I observed later check-ins being placed on higher floors. ADA law requires disability-related accommodations be provided on need, not on a “first come, first served” basis. At check-in, staff did not acknowledge me until another employee stepped in. A simple acknowledgment would have sufficed, but instead I was left standing awkwardly, waiting. Room and Facility Issues Uneven and excessively loud AC, with water dripping from the upstairs unit onto our patio. Inoperable lamps; missing blanket for the second bed. No lotion or standard amenities. Poor and inconsistent water pressure that caused sudden surges. Dirty bed skirts and trash under the bed. Bathroom door scraped the toilet and offered minimal clearance, limiting accessibility. Beds were noisy and uncomfortable; air quality questionable, as all four of us coughed whenever the AC ran. Excessive noise inside and outside the room. No accommodations for autistic children. Early checkout time (10am vs. the standard 11am). No guidance on internet, incidentals, or amenities at check-in. No ice machine available; only trays in the fridge. In Summary The property failed to provide ADA-compliant accommodations and fell short of basic hospitality standards, both in cleanliness and functionality.
