Let me start by saying that the Oceana is an incredibly nice property in a great location that can't be beat. An easy drive from LAX you can bike to the pier and restaurants in minutes. However the restaurant inside the Oceana was absolutely amazing, as are the cocktails and we really enjoyed the live music by the pool. As lifetime Diamond members, we couldn't have been happier with our stay! The service was outstanding from start to finish! The penthouse suite with waterfront views beyond posh. Spotless, spacious and positively gorgeous. We were celebrating our 25th anniversary and the extra care and personal attention we received during our stay went above and beyond. We never wanted to leave!!! And, honestly, once you enter you'll be greeted and treated to an unforgettable experience in style and comfort. We look forward to returning. Thanks again for everything!
This is my third visit, and it continues to be a fantastic place to stay—calm and relaxing vibe, and delicious food at the restaurant. A special thank you to Lenny Perlmutter. As always, he gave us such a warm welcome and was incredibly helpful throughout our stay. If you’re lucky to have Lenny assist you, you’ll be in great hands. The staff is small, so we had a wait during check-in, but everyone was friendly and eager to help. I also received a sweet gift at checkout. Thanks to the whole team—and especially Lenny—for making my family’s time and my birthday in Santa Monica so memorable!
I stayed at Oceana Santa Monica over the 4th of July weekend and was impressed by the hotel staff. Everyone I encountered seemed to be doing their very best to make your stay an enjoyable one. On the less positive side, room prices are sky high and the $70/night parking valet fee is exorbitant. Probably, the hotel needs to recoup costs spent on ultra-modern in room high-tech devices that I found to be unnecessarily cumbersome. The light switches do not need to be so complicated! Also, I was surprised that the floors in my poolside room creaked walking from the bedroom to anywhere else, surely that could be fixed.
