Spent two nights at the Inn at Discovery Coast in April. We stayed on the top floor of the adults-only building. The room was very comfortable, the view was amazing, and the gas fireplace added a bit of romance. Part of our decision to stay here was the EV charging. They have 6 L2 30A chargers. There was always a spot available, making it easy to drive to the coast without any range anxiety. The Pickled Fish was a great place to eat on the property. I would suggest making a reservation as it was quite popular. For the 21+ crowd, there was always a place at the bar. The staff was friendly and accommodating. The food was delicious. If you're looking for more than just an ocean view, a place to recharge yourself and your car, and some tasty food just steps away, this is the place for you.
Our stay here was excellent. We were in one of the rooms right above the pool and spa. The room was super lovely with so many nice details - bath salts, robes, rubber duckies, towels for the pool, great lighting, fireplace, and everything possible for tea and coffee. We went to Pickled Fish for dinner one night and ordered room service the second. Both times the food and service were really good. Despite being above the pool our room was pretty quiet. We could hear some noise but it was slight and something I could have easily slept through. I loved the accessibility too. There were kids around to in the pool, but adult hours were respected so we went at quiet times with no problems. Everything was clean and well kept. Super easy access to the beach. We went for long walks and also got to the distillery for tastings. This is one of our favorite news spots, and I wouldn't hesitate to book again. I honestly think that this place is getting review bombed because they have a LGBTQIA+ flag in a window. We had no problems that other guests mentioned.
The Inn has a great location, with wonderful views over the grassy dunes and beach, with easy access to the ocean and trails. Rooms are simple and well-furnished in a beachy, shabby-chic style, with lots of thoughtful touches. The staff are super friendly and helpful. Overall a great place with only one minus - the floors are not well insulated for sound, so unless you're on the highest floor, you can hear everything that's going on in the room above yours.
