Far and away the best hotel in Brest. Many thanks to the kind team!
I love the hotel unfortunately the restaurant is trying to be fine dining but without the proper staff to do so. I ordered the cote de bœuf for two 85€ a bottle of wine 50€ and a few entrees. The entrees were good. Unfortunately no water or wine arrived before the food. I needed to asked the waiter again. I ordered my côté de bœuf medium and was served shoe leather… I paid my 160€ bill and left. I never like to send food back or give waitstaff a hard time so I just let them know at the end of the meal. Honestly I’ve had a better entrecôte at a standard café pour 20€
We arrived after a long day of traveling to what appeared to be a funeral about to start in the lobby of the hotel. There were lit candles all over the place - it wasn’t peaceful. Luckily this was a concert which prohibited guests from using the front door 🤦🏻♀️ so we had to enter through the restaurant - this was awkward. If you want to use WiFi for a conference call - forget about it. The WiFi is the spottiest internet we have experienced in France. It never worked. Oh and you must log in every time you’ve been offline for more than 10 mins. At breakfast, they ran out of sausages and bacon 1 hour before breakfast ended. The scrambled eggs smelled so bad. €22 p/p is a joke. I had a 30 mins massage and it wasn’t the worst but not great either. I asked for the pressure to be ‘deep’ and I could barely feel anything she did. Not relaxing. The gym has a treadmill, a rower and some other cardio machine from the 1950s. There are no weights, pull up bars or balls. Nothing. There isn’t even space to stretch. It’s a disgrace. The sauna and jacuzzi weren’t working throughout our time - but they did manage to book photoshoots on the lobby for two days that we were there 😒
