The electricity went out at the hotel right after we checked in and were waiting for the elevator... luckily we weren't in the elevator already! When the electricty came back the elevator would not function, and it was offline for the duration of our stay. Of course this meant we had to use a smaller service elevator. The staff were accommodating, the convenience at the pantry downstairs is decent and priced reasonably. One gripe, we ordered food using ifood because we arrived late, and their restaurant was closing in 5 mins. The staff was unable to provide silverware or plasticware, it would be nice if they kept a few kits handy at the front desk for these types of situations. The Jacuzzis functioned well. The room was ok, looked better in the pictures.
Definitely not a 5 star hotel. I went there for a conference. The overall organization and sound system was quite bad. Very hard to find the room because of little indication. White marble floor super slippery when wet, which was always because they keep cleaning through out the event.
Where to begin? First off, the most unprofessional staff I’ve ever seen. Half the staff have zero training or capability to do their jobs, mainly due to the “general manager”, Raquel, who is not capable of managing a hotel. During our 3 days there, we had several instances of staff being very unprofessional and rude, namely Cristiane, Carol, and Lydia. When I finally spoke with Raquel, the “general manager”, as none of our grievances were being resolved, it became clear that the rudeness that permeates the organization is due to Raquel’s own lack of regard for good service and doing one’s job with competence. Instead of taking any of our grievances seriously and trying to resolve the problems, she only further inflamed the situation with more rudeness, blatant disrespect and mistreatment, inspiring us to cut our stay short and leave right away, even if it meant paying a cancellation fee. Also, they were renovating their walkway and there were various wires exposed, as well as holes in the path, that posed a danger, especially to small children. The rooms were very small for what we paid, and the bathtub was dirty. Overall, it was one of the worst experiences I’ve had in the 44 years of my life having traveled to almost 50 countries. DO NOT stay here if you want to have a nice vacation.
