OceanLife Surf Stay at Horizon Inn

I had a fantastic few days at OceanLife! Despite being in a peaceful location near Jungle Beach, there's also a friendly and welcoming atmosphere - it's the ideal balance of relaxation and sociability. Imke and Shannon are brilliant hosts, always making you feel right at home from the moment you arrive. The group meals were a highlight - delicious and a great way to meet others. The rooms are spacious, comfortable, and fully equipped with everything you could need. I highly recommend staying at OceanLife, it's a special place to unwind, surf and connect with others.

My partner and I had the most wonderful time with Shannon and Imke ❤️ We wish we came earlier and can’t wait to be back on our next holiday! I heard from several friends about their surf stay and my own experience was above all expectations! The stay is comfortable and super well maintained, the food is cooked daily from the best ingredients and curated recipes. Imke delivers the benchmark of the hospitality. Shannon has been a fantastic coach ensuring I get the best waves and improve my understanding of ocean. My non surfing partner got a whole different view on surfing thanks to Shannon. After being “traumatised” by the “mass market” surf instructors at touristy surf camps, my partner finally had surfing explained in the way this beautiful sport and lifestyle deserves it. My sister and I spent three wonderful days at this accommodation and had an amazing time. We took a surf lesson, which was great – they collaborate with a local surf school. While the prices are a bit higher compared to other surf schools, you definitely get what you pay for. The accommodation itself is beautiful and peacefully located, away from the hustle and bustle, yet still close to everything you need. You have the option to eat at the accommodation, which made our stay even more social, as we shared meals with other travelers. Imke and Shanon have lived in Sri Lanka for three years and know the area very well. You can always ask them for great recommendations. We highly recommend this place for a relaxed and friendly experience!
