Oceans 22 at Fingal Bay

I’ve stayed at this hotel twice and had a wonderful experience both times. The location is unbeatable—just steps from the beach and close to top restaurants, grocery stores, pharmacies, shopping, and family entertainment. The Oceanview suite offers a stunning view of the water, and the suites themselves are spacious, making them perfect for families or groups. Highly recommend for a relaxing beach vacation!

We went through the Hilton Rewards. Long story with how we ended up here at this hotel. However, glad we did. Trust me the ocean view is that an ocean view. The beds are very firm. The pillows are not the best. Little more water pressure would’ve been nice. Also, toilet could have been higher. Oh ! Their inside Starbucks does not have sweet vanilla cold foam nor do they accept tap as a form of Payment. The heat in the hallways in the building did take us by surprise. However, it did not affect my room and that’s where it mattered the most in my room. Pros: cleanliness(mattered a lot) , love the communication through text . Very prompt in responding. The comfortableness of the room. The atmosphere was good. Great customer service. OVERALL these pros outweighed the cons

Review: A Great Stay with a Few Disappointments – Hilton Grand Vacations Ocean 22 We recently stayed at Hilton Grand Vacations Ocean 22 in Myrtle Beach and had a mostly positive experience with a few things that could use improvement. What we loved: The suite was spacious, clean, and featured a fully equipped kitchen—including a coffee maker, toaster, dishwasher, full-size refrigerator, range, and even an in-unit washer and dryer. Having these amenities made our stay especially comfortable. The oceanfront view from our room was stunning, and we thoroughly enjoyed the two well-maintained pools and hot tub. We appreciated that the pool area provided clean towels for guests to use freely (as long as they stayed in the pool area). The poolside bar was a great touch—equipped with TVs and a laid-back resort feel. There’s also a full-size indoor bar on the second floor near the gathering and seating area, which was a nice space to unwind. The hotel’s location is excellent—just a short walk to the Myrtle Beach boardwalk and nearby shops. The property itself was modern and very clean throughout. Valet service was prompt and courteous, and all the staff we interacted with were friendly and professional. What could be improved: One of the biggest downsides was the temperature in the common areas, particularly the hallways and elevators. It was often uncomfortably warm—so much so that we would perspire walking to and from our room. For a resort, this was not ideal. Another issue was that the bathroom door in our suite didn’t have a lock, which was awkward when traveling with others. This seems like a small but important detail that should be addressed, especially for a suite in a Hilton property. The Hilton app listed an “on-site restaurant,” which was misleading. There isn’t a restaurant on the property—only a small market/café with an on-site Starbucks. While convenient, it lacked seating and even some basic drink options like dark roast coffee. We were expecting a proper restaurant and were disappointed to find otherwise. Lastly, there was no included daily room service, which is a standard feature at many Hilton properties. Its absence was noticeable and reduced the overall resort feel of the stay. Overall: We enjoyed our time at Hilton Ocean 22 and still recommend it for its location, cleanliness, amenities, and friendly staff. However, a few adjustments—especially around temperature control and accurate app descriptions—would take the guest experience to the next level.
