Disappointing. The hotel has the kind of “vintage charm” that comes not from deliberate design but from being slightly worn out and in need of actual repairs. The pool, for example, was an uninviting shade of green when we arrived. We were told it was “to match the plants,” which I suppose is one way to spin algae growth. It did clear up a little during our stay, but not to the point where I’d risk emerging with a new species of rash. Smashed windows, ripped table cloths. The beds were comfortable, but that’s where the compliments end. Housekeeping seemed to be on holiday too. Towels were swapped out once in six days, the bins were never emptied, and the room wasn’t cleaned at all—I ended up sweeping the floors myself. (I should have invoiced them.) The location is the hotel’s saving grace—just a stone’s throw from the medina. Unfortunately, relaxation is ruined by the symphony of construction noise from behind the property. Nothing like being woken at 8 a.m. by industrial drilling to remind you you’re on vacation. Breakfast was simple but pleasant, and the server—a lovely lady—was the only truly warm part of the experience. The biggest letdown, however, is the hotel’s advertising. The pictures promise a boutique, luxurious vibe, complete with chic throws, stylish cushions, and sparkling glassware. In reality, the place is sparsely decorated and feels soulless—like someone staged it for photos once and then sold all the props on eBay.

Lady at reception is the only positive thing at this hotel. She was very friendly and provided excellent service. Everything else was awful. Bedding was dirty, pool was dirty, cutlery was dirty and the overall smell wasnt good. Definitely avoid and go elsewhere, so many nice places to stay in the area.
