Came for my brother's wedding an it was a beautiful day. Helped by brilliant attentive staff. The room I stayed in was truly lovely. Slept so well. Michelle on the reception desk went above an beyond for me as did the other reception staff. Food was superb. Also the coffee is fantastic 😊 well worth a visit!
So close to a 5-star rating. Hotel is in lovely grounds. Friendly staff who were very helpful. Bar staff and waiting staff were first class. Room was a good size but minor gripe was the lack of shower caps and pens/pads - could be for sustainability which I applaud but the price point would indicate you would have all the usual extras. The BIG issue for us was the tiny number of parking bays. If they are full you have to leave your car in the council park car park overnight which isn't ideal. All that said we enjoyed our stay and would use the hotel again - ideally if there was a deal on
Venue fantastic. Bar is great. All staff are really nice and accommodating. Restaurant though, extremely over priced for the quality of food. Ordered the sea bass for £28, and it was probably one of the worst I've had. Really need to rethink their prices regardless of the extremely overcooked fish. Food is average at best yet they are asking for top restaurant prices. Disappointed.
