Odyssee Resort and Thalasso

I visited Tunisia, Djerba for the first time and I was very pleased. My family and I were on vacation from 24.06 to 01.07. Hotel Odyssee turned out to be a great choice for our vacation and we would come back again next year. We had a great time - the rooms were clean and comfortable, the food was varied and very tasty, the staff was professional, and I'm speechless about the animators. Special thanks to the entire animation team - Zizou, Nino, Rio, Mustik, Mimi and all the others I didn't list! Thank you for your energy, mood, smiles! You are great! ❤️ I work in a travel agency and would be happy to recommend the hotel to my clients. It is true that from June-July there are already a lot of tourists and the places on the beach and around the pool are filling up, but it's not impossible to find a place. We had no problem. There are signs that say that leaving a towel is not a reservation and guests must be responsible - if you are not going to return to the beach within an hour, you can take your towel. I read comments about camels on the beach and that there was a scam - each person can choose whether to accept a given service or not. No one is obligated to anything. The hotel is not responsible for camels on the beach. 🙂 Regarding tips - I haven't noticed anyone demanding that you give them a tip. This is optional, and is already accepted in many tourist destinations, even European ones (like Portugal and others). I saw comments on this occasion and that's why I'm giving my opinion. Tunisia in general is really beautiful, but this resort was definitely lacking Rooms - In general fine, not enough TV channels and they should be cleaned a little more thoroughly Service - Really bad. I am originally from Tunisia, and I felt like I was more disrespected because they cared more about foreigners, I genuinely felt lesser than the rest of the customers. The cleaning staff were extremely nice though unlike the rest of the staff. Location - Really genuinely beautiful. I wouldn't recommend the pool but the beach was refreshing (a little too much algae but the farther you go into the ocean the less there is) I would recommend seeing some more tourist attractions outside of the hotel though (markets and museums) because they just have a lot more variety!

Room ok, no coffee or tea making facilities in the room. No room service, food and drink only available at certain times, can someone please tell me how this is a 4 star hotel when we are treated like 3rd class citizens. If you're french or German then you are welcome, any other nationality (especially English) don't bother.
