Massage chair, food and overall service was great. They have activities like a nature walk, star gazing and craft making for hotel guests. There is a huge sports complex that is connected to the hotel. Downside: food at the buffet had no English labels.
We were very pleasantly surprised by this great resort. The breakfast and dinner buffets were delicious and extensive. We really enjoyed the amenities of the resort: The hike on the property was fun, ping pong was great and it was fun evening activity to use the karaoke rooms. The onsen stole the show though: the outdoor pool, looking out over the mountain was incredible. We visited Japan from Canada and our stay at Taoya was a highlight for sure.
Had a lovely experience with my family here. The onsen was the highlight and so was the breakfast buffet!! Great location and great price - good getaway from the bustling Tokyo. Also the time we went only had 30% occupancy which made it that much more special - best to come here when it’s off peak
