Old City Family Hotel

Awesome stays we had in here, the front desk team is so kind, they were always ready to help whenever we needed. The room is very clean, comfy beds and we got a nice balcony with good lateral view to the sea side and bridge . The location is perfect, you just step outside and you can walk anywhere... the mosques, Egyptian and Old bazaars, restaurants, cafes,.... close to the main bridge that connects to Taksim by ferry, bus or train. Well I'm a food lover and the breakfast is adorably delicious. We enjoyed our meals sitting on those comfy Turkish booths. The owner is amazing, she made us feel home always smiling with good energy, caring about us to make sure everything was fine. I'm in love with this hotel. I definitely recommend it!

Honest and fair comment : This hotel is well located, staff is nice and helpful, the breakfast is great and the breakfast lady is adorable, the wifi connexion works well and the neighborhood is calm at night. Also, the bed sheets and towels in our room seemed clean. HOWEVER, there could be a serious improvement in the cleanliness of the bathroom. When we arrived, the shower was dirty and there was pee in the toilet bowl, which was disgusting. Also, we had to ask for toilet paper because there was none when we arrived and it was difficult to wash our face or teeth due to the inconvenient location of the bathroom sink which was tiny and under a shelf.

IT'S A SCAM! Photos do not correspond to reality. The rooms have probably never seen a vacuum cleaner. It should be mentioned that the bathrooms are infested with mold and dirt. The very next day I had to wash the entire bathroom with disinfectant. disgusting! The furniture was very worn, the beds and sheets were dirty, we had to ask for clean towels and new toilet paper ourselves. The only advantage was a kettle with a mini fridge and breakfast. Breakfast was good. And as a bonus, the hotel said goodbye to us on the last night with a family of rats that crawled through the walls. NEVER MORE!!!
