Old Lighthouse Bristow Hotel

The USP is the view and the heritage nature of the property. The outdoor beer garden is also worth a visit. The service is fantastic. A quiter location from the crowds at the beach, a big plus. Overall, a great experience in the Lady Gertrude suite. A few caveats though. The shower knob is defective. Many fittings are showing their age and need replacement. Including the door lock. The breakfast was excellent, but coffee and tea can use vast improvement.

Very nice stay…rustic vibe by the sea…courteous staffs….enjoyed snacking and beer by the sea docking view…Chef made special effort to cook tasty fish in the way we requested…However, improvements are needed in bar snacks such as ginger chicken which had too thick cornflour coating and hardly any chicken inside it…It was like I was eating fried flour…Please improve this. Overall it was a memorable stay. Thank you.

The property is an old bungalow in a stunning location right on the seashore, offering a beautiful view of harbour. The cottage we took was spacious, clean and beautifully presented. The staffs were kind and helpful, and they even prepared special meals for my toddler upon request, which we greatly appreciate. However, there are a few areas where improvements could enhance the overall experience. While the food was acceptable, it wasn't exceptional. Similarly the provided room facilities such as toiletries were adequate but not quite upto par. Addressing these minor points would elevate this property to a five star destination.
