My husband and I traveled from our home in upstate New York to Austria for the first time in October 2024. We purposely chose the Olympia- Relax hotel because of Leonhard Stocks connection to Lake Placid, NY as he won the downhill race in the 1980 Winter Olympics. The hotel and the surrounding area exceeded our expectations. The rooms were spacious and clean, the food was outstanding and the spa area was luxurious. The weather was beautiful, with a multitude of activities to enjoy. We hiked, took the gondola up to the top of the Hintertux glacier, played golf, and traveled to a world cup ski race in Solden. The owners (Leonhard and Gundi) were very gracious hosts. They were so welcoming and friendly to us and to all the guests. They were in the dining area daily: socializing, helping out or even cooking us breakfast! It was a stay we will never forget and one we hope to repeat in the winter season!
One word AMAZING :) Why? See my description below. This is a family hotel and you feel it because they trade you like their love family. Let's start with the facilities. Everything is clean and beautiful. The rooms are big and fit for families. The spa area is great and you will enjoy it after a ski day or a travel day. They have also a playground area so kids and adults can join together. The food is amazing. Every day new dishes and everything is fresh and tasty. We are a vegan family and did everything to please us although they said that they are not so fit for vegan. I can tell you, they are PERFECT for vegans. They have also some snakes in the afternoon when you back from skiing. Every day they brought us vegan cakes, a special for us. And the last and most important thing is that the owners, the Stock couple, are always available to help. They are working side by side with their employees to give the best service to their guests. I know that when I will be next time in this area I will absolutely choose you again. Thank you to make our vacation a perfect one
Prefessional and also friendly stuff, delicious food - breakfast and dinner very well prepared. Sauna and pool open late hours. Close to ski area and walk distance to different tracks for hiking. Love the place. Thank you for accomodation.
