Omni Corpus Christi Hotel

I spent a week here for a convention. Aside from the minor inconvenience of the escalator being out, this place was terrific! My room was clean and very comfortable and well tended to all week. Parking was easy and secure (I self-parked all week in the attached parking structure). The meeting rooms were ample, spacious, and clean. But, the absolute BEST part of the whole experience was eating at Switchgrass Landing, the hotel's in-house casual dining offering. I had breakfast here every morning of my stay, and every time, my expectations were exceeded. The food was great. The service was exceptional! They have a gem of a server named Maria. After the first morning, she greeted me by name and knew my drink order, and engaged in personalized professional conversation. She was a delightful way to start the day. I hope they keep her around for a long while!

I stayed here for a conference at the end of February/beginning of March this year. This was a great location! I couldn’t believe how close we were to the ocean. The view from my room was beautiful. Speaking of my room, it was lovely. It was very spacious and the bed was very comfortable. The room was very clean too. The parking rate for the weekend was fair and the garage had plenty of spaces to park and was easy to navigate. The check in process was a breeze and I even received a free beverage coupon to use during my stay. I ended up using it for a latte at the gift shop on my last day there. The ballroom where we had our conference was the perfect size and the hotel staff helping us throughout the weekend were very nice and professional. The conference took up most of my weekend so I was sad to see what a cool pool room they had before I checked out. I would definitely stay here again and if I do, I will make sure to take advantage of their really cool pool area. They also have a nice outdoor sun tanning area too which was nice.

We had a great time at the Omni Corpus Christi! Check-in was quick and easy, and the room was comfortable with a nice view — though it was missing a microwave and seating on the balcony, which would’ve been a nice touch. Customer service was great almost everywhere throughout the hotel. A special shoutout to Elisabeth, our amazing waitress at the restaurant — she went above and beyond to accommodate our gluten-free needs and made sure my son and I were completely taken care of. We also had a fantastic experience at the pool bar with the female bartender — she was incredibly attentive, brought drinks to us without us needing to leave our seats, and made special virgin daiquiris on the rocks for my kids when the blender was down. They felt so special! Unfortunately, the male bartender was the complete opposite. He refused to make mixed drinks, said he was closing early the next two nights, and was honestly just dismissive. When my son lost his bracelet and I asked if he had seen it, he made me wait while he finished watching a scene from a movie on TV. A couple of minor maintenance issues too — the elevators were super slow, our tub didn’t drain properly, and we ran out of toilet paper. We called for more, but no one ever brought it up. All in all, the great staff members and fun atmosphere outweighed the downsides. With a few improvements, this place could be top-tier!
