We had an amazing experience and unforgettable stay. The view was world class ballpark, ocean and city all in one. We got to walk into the ballpark through a VIP entrance. The gym was clean and hot tub relaxing. The staff was helpful and friendly I recommend it 5 stars!
Check-in was pleasant with a girl named Jules... her smile brightened up a long travel day. I was here for a conference with tons of other conference-goers staying at this hotel. The toilet was not clean upon entering the room (someone else mentioned the same thing). The shower was amazing. I'm home now and miss this shower with the great water pressure and the height of the nozzle (I'm 6'4"). The carpet had either a blood stain or a marinara sauce stain on it, about the size of a quarter. I avoided this like the plague. I struggled to get complete darkness in this room at night, the curtains let light at the sides and middle too much. The bed and pillows were comfortable. There were serious noise issues in this bay-facing room. All night for four nights there is a loud buzzing sound either from the train tracks or the docks down below. Additionally, this room had a door for an adjoining room and it let in a lot of sound from the loud guy next door who often came in loudly at 2:30am... also light from his room came through under this door. While my coworker and I were having a drink in the bar area, the manager went into the back and came back with a bottle of some special rye he opened up for us to try. I asked the front desk to call me a cab and the guy went outside and flagged down a cab off the road. I feel this is unsafe, I think they should've called a taxi service not just grabbed some random car off the road. I feel like this could be a 5-star experience, but lack of cleanliness hurts and sleeping quality suffers due to light and sound. The friendly staff are a bright spot, but should be aware of cab safety.
Here for the location to the ballpark. For a “luxury” hotel that I’m paying over $600 a night for you’d expect better than a moldy shower that didn’t work. When we arrived our tub wouldn’t drain. To their credit they sent someone out very quickly however it took over 6 hours of working on it with little success. For a one night stay to have maintenance in your room for 6 hours and no shower access prior to the game is an inconvenience to say the least. When we finally were able to shower after minimal success from maintenance the shower was disgusting with mold. Wallpaper was also peeling from the walls. Cute decor, great location but not what is expected from a high end hotel—Best Western sure!
