This hotel is truly an icon of the Pittsburgh area. As soon as you walk into the lobby, it smells wonderful and the architecture is just amazing. The lobby is so grand and beautiful. We were welcomed with an upgrade to a suite and experienced wonderful customer service. They went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. The suite had a separate sitting room which was equipped with a couch, large chair, and table with four chairs. This hotel also offers a speakeasy in the basement which is truly an experience and great coffee in the lobby. Overall this was a wonderful experience and would highly recommend.
What a clean, comfortable, sophisticated and impressive-looking hotel in downtown Pittsburgh! Unfortunately I only started for 1 night but would definitely return again with my wife sometime. This was one of the most gorgeous and commanding hotel lobbies I've ever been in. They also have several eateries inside (a tap room, a restaurant and a candy-themed coffee shop), and a very good fitness center.
I stayed at the Omni William Penn while visiting Pittsburgh for a Pirates vs. Rangers game and had a very nice stay overall. The hotel is in a historic building, and while it shows its age in places, it also features some beautiful architectural details and charm. It is conveniently located within walking distance of many area attractions, including a quick and easy walk to the stadium. The customer service at check-in was great. The staff was friendly and accommodating, and they were even able to check me in several hours early, which was much appreciated. My room was spacious and comfortable, though a bit dated. The air conditioning struggled slightly to cool the room to a perfect temperature, but given that the region was experiencing an intense heat dome at the time, it was understandable and not a major issue. Parking was convenient. While valet is available, there is a parking garage directly across the street that offers a more affordable option. Overall, I had a pleasant experience and would likely stay here again. I would recommend this hotel to anyone planning a trip to Pittsburgh.
