OMO5 Okinawa Naha by Hoshino Resorts

The hotel added a modern twist to the traditional ryokan style room by incorporating several elements into the interior design. Eg tatami flooring, low platform bed, futon style mattress etc. Rooms are small but yet efficient in layout. Unlike some other hotels where you do not even have space to open your luggage, this has ample space. Check in is fast and fuzz free. Staff are friendly and speaks good English. Location is just a 5 to 10 mins walk from the monorail.

My friend and I booked two different rooms and we both agreed that the hospitality and service was exceptional. We stayed here for 5 days. The rooms were clean and well laid out. It’s not very close to the main action area but walkable. You can catch a bus from the Naha airport (pay on the bus with ¥) and the bus stop is a couple of mins walk from the hotel. I would stay here again.

This is a great hotel! Staff was friendly, helpful, and accommodating. Rooms were modern, a reasonable size when it comes to Japanese hotel rooms and it had everything we needed. The hotel does its best to provide some experiences for guest with a nightly market in the lobby and occasional performances in the second floor. Only downside was doing the laundry they have too few washer and dryers and navigating doing your laundry while competing with other guests can be challenging and frustrating. If you run on the warmer side there is an additional “ac” in the room but I’d probably request an additional fan if it’s something they can accommodate. Over great place!
