One Miyakojima

Best hostel i went to in a month in japan! Great staff, very welcoming and friendly. Very clean and super soft beds.

For people planning for a workation, I doubt whether one can find a better place than here. There are two very clean showers and four toilets, so it was more than enough. And host Chiharu (ちーちゃん) was very generous and kind. The kakigouri (かき氷🍧) was also great. There were quite a lot of people coming in just for that. The common space for working is spacious and cool which is very important in very hot, humid summer in Miyako. It was very close to the street full of stores and izakaya, also so you can enjoy a night out. Painagama beach is just 15-20 min work from here so I got to swim at sunset after work. Recommend this guesthouse for workation or for people who want a calm, relatively quiet atmosphere.

I stayed here during Golden Week. As they have a large number of beds, I was able to stay even during peak season, which was very helpful. This is a new and clean guesthouse, conveniently located in the center of town, with a spacious lobby where I could relax. The staff were very friendly, and I enjoyed chatting with the other guests, giving me wonderful memories of Miyakojima. I would definitely like to stay here again. The shaved ice shop on the first floor of the same building was also very delicious.
