Oneloft Hotel

Amazing hotel in a very good location near Kata beach (5min walk) and just a bit further from beautiful Karon beach (10min walk). There are plenty of shops and restaurants nearby. In general, the hotel is located in an area where you can walk about freely and enjoy an evening stroll. The rooms are super clean and spacious and the staff is amazing, in particular the four legged fur receptionist named Penthouse. The breakfast is really nice too and the pool and ability to borrow umbrellas, beach towels and beach bags is really convenient!

The location is pretty good, staff were nice and the room was pretty clean. There were a few issues though: the first is that our air conditioner outside unit was very loud. Aside from that, the other problem was the guests. They were very loud even late into the night. I could hear them yelling from downstairs after 2 AM. Now, my biggest problem is there seemed to be a number of guests smoking weed inside their room. The second floor smelled strongly of weed multiple times. On our last night the smell was so bad I could even smell it seeping into my room entrance. I would have contacted the front desk at the time but it was after midnight and I wouldn't say it was an emergency. I do hope the hotel will warn guests not to smoke when they check in, an I also hope the hotel will enforce the penalty for people who actually do it. The rooms do have signs saying not to smoke. I don't know if it's actually enforced. Anyway, it's a solid room and the price is fine but the other guests were terrible when we were staying.

Located at a walking distance from both Kata and Karon beaches. Has a lot of restaurants around. The hotel seemed more like a 3 star than a 4 star. Slippers provided in the room are not disposable and are reused by the guests, which grossed me out. They do provide towel and beach mats.
