Onich Hotel

My friend and myself and her little dog spent one night in the hotel. I have to say I was a bit apprehensive on arrival when I saw all the outside scaffolding in place. However I have to say this hotel is a credit due to the wonderful staff they have employed . They are so welcoming could not do enough to make our stay comfortable . Our room twin bed over looking the Loch was perfect very clean shower great . Dinner menu had a great choice if anything perhaps small portions should be added to menu.. Cooked breakfast perfect but perhaps add fresh fruit salad to go with yougurt and some cold meats and cheese to serve with crossuints apart from that it was very good. Hope to return again and a Thank you to the staff. .

We only stayed one night, but one night was enough...the room was old and badly painted and the carpet didn't seem fresh (actually the first time I didn't want to walk barefoot). The hallway to get to our room smelt beautifully, only to realize it was to hide the real smell... Also, we wanted to get a little drink on a beautiful sunny day in Scotland, however the bar only opened at 6 p.m, so we couldn't even use and enjoy the beautiful terrace to relax in the afternoon..what a shame to have such a nice place with a magical view and not take advantage of it...If only they put as much effort as they do on the outside in the inside, the place might actually have a good fighting chance.

We stayed for one night, and thought this hotel represented very poor value for money. Room, dinner and bar prices on the expensive side whilst food of average quality at best. Don't expect highland hospitality here either, there is an air of corporate anonymity and a complete lack of character about the place. Bar closed early without warning. Better options available locally.
